POEM your wife, JoAnn, wrote months after you died on Dec 12, 2016 while looking out her living room window and watching a few leaves still falling off the big oak tree in your front yard. Miss JoAnn gave me a copy of her poem on Nov 10, 2021.

A Leaf in the Wind

I feel as if I' drifting
A leaf fluttering around in the wind.
I don't know where I'm going,
But I do know where I've been.

I've been to the top of the mountain
Deep in the valley below
Floating around in God's beautiful world,
Don't know exactly where to go.

Wherever the winds may take me,
I know it's part of my fate.
A gentle breeze or a full blown gale
God's timing is never late.

I'll float around, enjoy the ride
I'm sure I'll safely land.
My destination is already known
For these winds are guided
By God's Holy righteous hand.

REMEMBER ME
To the Living, I am gone.
To The Sorrowful, I will never return.
To the angry, I was cheated.
But to the happy, I am at peace,
And to the faithful, I have never left.

I cannot be seen, but I can be heard.
So as you look in awe at a mighty forest
and its grand majesty--remember me.
As you look upon a flower and
admire its simplicity--remember me.

Remember me in your heart,
your thoughts, your memories of
the times we loved.
The times we cried, the times we fought,
the times we laughed.

For if you always think of me,
I will never be gone.
