Born at Cisterna di Latina. Family lore said his family were Sicilian, but there is no documentation. Birth year given as 1887 on some documents. Came to US via Ellis Island, June 13 1907, aboard the ship CRETIC at age 19 with Salvatore Bianchi , his father (age 44 in 1907) from Naples . His wife Louise was US-born. WW I Draft Registration in 1918 lists him as an alien with a wife and 1 child, living in Williamstown Jct, NJ. His occupation is listed as architect working for the Tomigli Stone Co. Family lore said he was a worker in decorative plaster walls and ceilings. He became a citizen in April of 1918. 1930 and 1940 Census records show him as head of household living with wife Louise and their 4 children. WW II Draft Registration in 1942 lists him living in the same area of NJ as in 1918. Now working for a Fred Weinberg at 835 Arch St, Phila.
