Bertha May Buchanan was entered into rest in Gladstone on Tuesday, November 28, 1978 at the age of 81 years.

Bertha May McGhie was born at Ogilvie, Manitoba on September 27, 1894 where she received her education prior to going to Normal School at Brandon. She taught school in Manitoba and Saskatchewan. In 1924 she married Clifton Buchanan. Together they farmed in the Ogilvie district until they retired to Gladstone.

Mrs. Buchanan was active in community affairs until the time of her death. She was a member of the Gladstone United Church, past worthy matron of Palestine Chapter O.E.S. and past noble grand of the Rebekah Lodge, past president of the Legion Auxiliary and a member of the W.I.

Besides her husband. Cliff, she will be sadly missed by
her daughter and son-in-law Hazel and Elmer Farmer of Dauphin: grandchildren Raymond and Kathy Farmer of
Regina, Dale and Sheila Farmer of Brandon, Garth and Karen Farmer of Saskatoon, Shelby and Bill Neill of Thompson and four great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter Jean in 1934, one sister Agnes, Sandilands. and three brothers Elmer, Ritchey, and William McGhie.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, December 2 at 2:00
p.m. at Gladstone United Church. Rev. R. McKinnon will officiate. Interment will follow in Gladstone Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may to
made to the Manitoba Heart Fund. Clarke's Funeral Home of
Gladstone in care of arrangements.
