Dorothy R. "Dot" Pearson, 94, of Bethlehem, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 26, 2023, at Cedarbrook Nursing Home, Fountain Hill. She was the loving wife of the late Richard "Dick" Pearson. Born in Bethlehem, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Rose Marie (Thomas) Muhr.
Dot worked as a teletype setter and editor for the Globe Times, Morning Call and the Journal of Commerce for most of her life until retiring. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Fountain Hill. Dot enjoyed traveling, cooking, baking, and crossword puzzles. She loved having the occasional glass of wine and watching the Hallmark channel and game shows. Above all, Dot loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors: She will be lovingly remembered by her son Thomas Pearson and his wife Patricia of San Marcos, TX; son in law Mark Ford of New Tripoli; grandchildren, Matthew Pearson and his wife Rachel, Keith Pearson and his wife Jennifer, Kevin Pearson and his wife Brooke, Tonia Piacquadio, Chris Ford and his wife Leslie, Lauren (Ford) and her husband Steve Henao; great grandchildren Cadence, Max, Walker, Hudson (Pearson), Alexandria, Reagan and Charlotte (Ford), Bodhi and Stevie (Henao). Dot was preceded in death by her beloved daughter Joanne Ford, sons Richard F. Pearson Jr. and James Pearson and Dot's brother Joseph Muhr.
Services: A Graveside service will be held at 1 P.M. on Tuesday, October 31, 2023 at Bethlehem Memorial Park Cemetery, 1851 Linden Street Bethlehem, PA 18017. Dot's arrangements have been entrusted to the Cantelmi Funeral Home, Fountain Hill.
