Norman R. Ace

MONROE - Norman R. Ace, age 82, of Monroe passed away on Sunday, May 22, 2016 at his home. He was born on March 6, 1934 the son of Oral and Elizabeth (Freitag) Ace in the Town of Exeter and attended East Dayton and New Glarus Schools. He was first united in marriage to Thelma Waelti and later married Delores Ree. Norman worked as a baker at Spudnut Wholesale which later became the Doughnut Factory in Madison for thirty years. He also owned and operated the Ace's Wild Bar in Stoughton. Norman was a fan of stock car racing and loved playing cards.

Norman is survived by his children Dennis (Pam) Ace, Don (Carin) Ace, Janeen (Jerry) Stoltenberg, Jerry Ace, Phil (Tiffany) Ace, Jenifer Anderson, and Kevin (Jenny) Julseth, seventeen grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. He is further survived by his siblings Stanley (Mary Ann) Ace, Wayne (Kay) Ace, Carol (Leonard) Waelti, Avis Ace, and Eldon (Kriss) Ace.

He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife Thelma, and a sister-in-law Leota Ace.

A graveside inurnment service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 25, 2016 at the Belleville Cemetery in Belleville, WI with Pastor Phil Ace officiating.

A celebration of Norman's life will be held from 12:00 noon to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 25, 2016 at the Verona Senior Center, 108 Paoli St., Verona, WI.
