Among the handsome monuments that have been erected by Douglas Bros. this season (is one in Moores Mills Cemetery to the memory of the wife of Alex. DUNN. It is of dark blue marble from Vermont of cottage design and handsomely engraved).
Another fine piece of work constructed by them has been placed in St. Stephen Cemetery. It is a cap monument 12 feet high with draped urn and made from black granite cut at Beaver Lake, Maine. Three of the faces bear the following inscription: Mary Y. Emerson LIBBEY, born 1810 died May 29th, 1889 wife of Delaw LIBBEY and daughter of Elizabeth Emerson HALL. Mary Libbey Williams MARKS, born Aug. 17th, 1812, died January 27th, 1882. Elizabeth Libbey Emerson HALL, third white child born in St. Stephen, died Feb. 4, 1878, aged 93 years 9 mos. 9 days, sister yo Samuel LIBBEY, the first white child born here.
