Mary Nadine Ashley (Mommy Two), 78, of McKinney, Texas, went home to be with her Lord and family on Oct. 21, 2006, after a long and courageous battle with mylofibrosis.
She was born on June 15, 1928, in Greenville, Texas, to Freddie and Alta (Herring) Jones. On September 30, 1944 she married Eddie Ashley in New Orleans, La. Nadine was a homemaker and member of the Waddill Street Baptist Church. For several years she worked at the Action Company.
She is survived by her son Tommy Ashley of Plano, Texas; daughters Nancy Kruse and her husband, Jacky, of McKinney, Sara Young of Anna, Texas, and Sharon Butler of McKinney; grandchildren Jeff, Chris, and Brian Kruse, Bill Young, Jenny Miller and Brad and Blake Butler; great-grandchildren Jacob, Kevin and Harley Butler, Maddison, Emma, and Trevor Kruse, Emily and Kaylee Miller and Ashley Young; sister Joan Harness of Sulphur Springs, Texas; and numerous other loving relatives and friends.
Preceding her in death were her parents; and husband Eddie.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2006, in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel with Rev. Randy Moreland officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
