Rev Ron....... was born in Newark, NJ on September 2, 1964 to the Reverend William E. and Willie Mae Christian.

He and his sisters, Everett and Arleada were raised in a loving, spiritual environment that fostered a close knit family, but most importantly began his pathway towards swerving others.

Educated in the Newark Public School System, Reverend Ron graduated from Weequahic High School in 1982, where he was an accomplished long distance runner.

Reverend Ron, as he was affectionately known, was called to the ministry at the tender age of fourteen and was licensed to preach the Gospel in January 1998 at the Upper Room Missionary Baptist Church in Newark, NJ under the pastorate of his father, the Rev. William E. Christian. He later joined the Clear view Baptist Church as the Youth Pastor, under the pastorate of Rev. Eric M. Beckham in 2001.in 2001.

Reverend Ron married the true love of his life, the former Tami Faulk. Together they raised three children and blended a loving family of seven.
In addition he was called by a unanimous vote to pastor the Christian Love Baptist Church in Irvington, NJ. He was officially ordained on March 25th 2001 and went on to serve as the senior Pastor at CLBC with over 6, 000 members having four worship services and a powerful midweek service on Wednesday nights.

He went on to get a Master's of Divinity and Theological studies from Christian Bible Seminary in July 2002, attended and graduated from the Harvard University School of Divinity Leadership Institute on June 28, 2002, and attended the Seton Hall University Graduate Department of Judeo-Christian Studies.

Combining his love for God and his desire to serve others, Rev. Ron is well known in the community for his animated and unique personality, spirited anointing, for his numerous charitable deeds, and more importantly, a friend to everyone. His extensive humanitarian efforts have yielded him numerous honorary Doctorates for his efforts nationally and internationally. In addition, he has received numerous religious awards including the Jober Scholarship for graduate studies on Sacred Scriptures and prestigious "Sister Rose Endowment" to study "Lessons of the Holocaust".

Reverend Ron was a member of the Newark Board of Education School Management Team and served as Chaplain for the Newark Police Clergy Alliance, the Beth Israel Hospital of Newark, the Essex County Youth Detention Center, the Essex County Prosecutors Office, the Irvington Police Department, the City of Orange Township Police Department, the Essex County Sheriff's Department, and the Maplewood Police Department. He was the President and Founder of M.I.R.A (Men Interested in Rebuilding America) and a member of the Irvington Police and Fire Clergy Association.

Rev. Ron has been diligent and dedicated in addressing civic and community affairs, but he has also focused on educational concerns. He was the instructor for the New Jersey General Baptist Christian Education Conference, and the North Jersey District Missionary Baptist Association, a member of the Irvington Chamber of Commerce, and Advisory Board Member for the Center of Urban Education, a Board Member of the Weed & Seed Program, a member of the Board of Trustees of the Integrity House Inc. and the Board of Education for Essex County Vocational Schools.

Reverend Ron's awards are innumerable. He was one of the first delegates appointed by the Governor's Office for the study of faith-based community development, and has received numerous community service awards from the township of Irvington, City of Newark, County of Essex, State of New Jersey, New Jersey Professional Black Business Association, United States Senate, United States House of Representatives, Congressional Black Caucus, and the New Jersey State Assembly for the work he does both nationally and internationally. He has received the prestigious Freedom Fund Community Service Pastor's Award from the NAACP, the man of the year award by the Greater Essex County Boys & Girls Club, the Martin Luther King Jr. Award for his community leadership and selfless giving by the County of Essex and was recognized by the Urban league of New Jersey as Clergyman of the Year. He has even received an award from the soldiers serving in Iraq, Afghanistan and in Cuba for his continued support of them and their families while serving on foreign soil.
Reverend Ron was a published author of several books who has also organized successful marches throughout the Township of Irvington to bring attention to the senseless murder of the youth, which were covered by the local and national media. He spent nearly two months serving as a missionary in several war ravaged countries of West Africa, traveling through over twelve African nations preaching the gospel and opening churches and schools for the lesser- fortunate families and children of those countries. He also traveled throughout the Middle East, the United States, the Caribbean, and over twenty five countries and five continents worldwide proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Reverend Ron leaves to cherish his memories: his wife Tami Christian; his children Radeyah (Ralph) Terrell, Ronald E. Christian Jr., Chloe Christian, Josiah Christian, and Ryan Christian; his parents, Rev. William E. Christian and Willie Mae Christian; his sisters Everett and Arleada Christian; five grandchildren, Kyla Keita, Yohan Terrell, Ralph Terrell, Preston Terell, Eshy Christian; in laws Colin and Joy Stanton, Eric Faulk, Sean (Wendy) Faulk; nieces Dominique Gaddy, Faith Williams; aunts Ruby Hughes, Gail Cousin, Tiffany Cason, Derrick Edmundson, and a host of relatives and Friends
