She appears as a widow in the household of her unmarried daughter Elizabeth Newsome on the 1900 census of Phenix City, Lee Co, AL, and has not been located among the family in 1910. Her burial at Clapp's Factory per family knowledge of descendant, Sue (Mrs. Jack) Gilbert. The location of her grave is not presently known.
