He was born on September 26, 1945, in Hemlock, son of the late Fredrick and Esther (Endline) Roggow. Ken graduated from Hemlock High School in 1963.He served his country with the U.S. Air Force. On September 3, 1966, he married the late Mary Kay (DeBeau) in Merrill. Kenneth worked in sales for over 35 years. He had a deep passion for racing, especially his go-karts. He loved his children, holding a very special connection with his grandchildren and traveling with family and friends in Northern Michigan.
Surviving are his children Kathy (Mark) Klopfenstein and Jennifer Roggow, all of Midland; grandchildren; Nathan and Conner Klopfenstein of Midland; one brother, Richard (Pat) Roggow of Midland; one sister, Rosemary Schell of Saginaw. Also surviving is his brother-in-law, Harlan DeShone and his sister-in-law, Mary DeBeau, both of Merrill; and many nieces, nephews and special friends that were by his side throughout his life and illness.
A Funeral celebrating Ken’s life will take place at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 24, 2016, from the Ware-Smith-Woolever Funeral Home, 1200 West Wheeler Street in Midland. Ken’s family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 4-7 p.m., and on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider Cancer Services or Mid-Michigan Hospice.
