Lillian A. Anderson died Aug. 26, 2004, at age 87.
Lillian Smith was born March 31, 1917, in Aberdeen, S.D. She was a clerk for the California Highway Patrol for 20 years and lived in Bakersfield, Calif., before moving in the early 1990s to Winchester Bay and in 1996 to Hillsboro.
Survivors include her daughters, Rochelle Kirkegaard, Barbara Kolberg and Karen Miner; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
