Chanceler “Chance” Kenneth Parker, 24, of Columbus, GA died Saturday, May 14, 2016.

Chance was born October 7, 1991 in Columbus, GA son of Edwin Parker and the late Amanda Jones Jensen. He attended Georgia Military College and worked at Ft. Benning. He loved music, playing the guitar, getting tattoos, traveling, reading, writing(poetry and songs), and history. He was quite the history buff and was always reading or watching documentaries to learn more about the world. He always loved visiting his paternal grandmother (he called her "Old Granny") and having her tell stories-about life back when she was growing up, the war, and about his grandfather's military service. He even spent a short time traveling by "hopping" trains. He was one of those people that made at least one new friend every single place that he went. He was always ready and willing to go above and beyond to help whoever he could however he could- from setting up friends' bands with places to play their shows to buying food for any of the homeless people around downtown that talked to him. He wanted to do so much to help out unfortunate and downtrodden people. His smile was contagious- I'll never forget it. He was a small light of hope in the darkness of this world and will not be forgotten.
