Russell Alan Reddell, 48, died Thursday, October 19, 2006. Funeral services will be 2 pm Saturday at Southwest Park Baptist Church with Reverend Mike Woodard officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Memorial Park directed by Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory.
Born in Abilene January 2, 1958, Russell was the son of David and Kathleen (Carson) Reddell. Following graduation from Cooper High School, he married Sherry Lusk in Abilene on February 9, 1980. He worked for Beal Appliance in parts and service. Russell loved his family, his work family, the Cooper Band, and his church, Southwest Park Baptist Church, where he was a deacon.
Russell was preceded in death by his mother, Kathleen Reddell.
Survivors include his wife, Sherry Reddell of the home; two sons, Kyle Reddell of Lubbock and Kevin Reddell of Abilene; father, David Reddell of Abilene; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Randy & Karla Reddell and Dennis & Alicia Reddell, all of Abilene; father and mother-in-law, Alton & Bobbie Lusk of Abilene; brother-in-law, Tracy Lusk of Abilene; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles, and a host of friends.
