Lillian Mae Allen was born March 27, 1922, and passed away on May 2, 2016, at the age 94. Lillian enjoyed cooking, sewing, gardening, flowers and Elvis Presley. She supported her husband during his service with the US Air Force. Lillian is survived by her loving husband of 72 years, David A. Allen, Jr.; children: Joe D. Allen & wife, Sandy (Mesquite, TX), Betty J. Tillick & husband, Larry (Schertz) and James A. Allen & wife, Barrie (Midland, MI); grandchildren: Bryan & Geoff Allen, JD Allen and Lacy Janca; 6 great-grandchildren; brother: Jack R. Crawford & wife, Billie Joe (Utica, MS); and sister-in-law: Bettye Boyd (Terrell, TX).
Many thanks to all who helped make her life more comfortable, including: Fresenius Medical Care, Regent Care Center and Heart to Heart Hospice. Graveside Services will be held at 10:15AM on Friday, May 13, 2016 at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to your favorite charity.
