Robert was the son of John Findley and Gabriella Hotchkiss. He married Mary Alice Josephine Lee on September 11, 1881 in Umatilla Co., Pendleton, OR. Robert left OR and went to CA with his family for his health. Unfortunately, he died from TB. His wife Mary and daughter Leslie returned to Pendleton.
He is buried in the same cemetery as his parents but not with them. There is no headstone.
