JOHN SHELLEY

John R Shelley, 76-year-old resident of Colcord, died Saturday, Dec 12, in the Siloam Springs Memorial Hospital.

Mr Shelley was born Jan 11, 1905, in Delaware County, Oklahoma, the son of Barto and Rosa Shelley. He was a retired plumber and a member of the Calvary Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Tellie on Nov 30, 1980.

He is survived by 5 sons: Kenneth of Modesto, Calif, J D of West Siloam Springs, Phagen of Gentry, Lonnie of Siloam Springs, and Barto of Elk City, Okla; 1 daughter, Mrs Maxine Allison, of Siloam Springs; 2 brothers: Noah of Flint, Okla, Hansel of Sanger, Calif; 3 sister; Mrs Beulah Braden of Cleveland, Okla, Mrs Nora Bell of Phoenix, Ariz, and Mrs Opal Huffman of Siloam Springs; 16 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Dec 15, at 2 pm in the Pyeatte Chapel with Rev George Vogt and Rev S R Bynum officiating. Burial was in the Allen Cemetery.
