Kenneth Earl, 80, of 22 South Payne Street in New Ulm, died Monday, May 15, 2006 at the Seasons Home in Redwood Falls. Funeral service will be 11 a.m., Thursday, May 18 at the St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in New Ulm with burial in the New Ulm City Cemetery. Pastor Scheuerlein will officiate.
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Wednesday and 7:30-8:30 a.m. Thursday at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm. Visitation will continue for one hour prior to the time of service on Thursday.
Ken is survived by his wife Victoria "Vicki" Earl of New Ulm; a daughter, Beverly Earl of New Ulm; a brother, Wallace Earl of New Ulm; nephews, Larry Earl and his wife Annie of New Ulm, Charles Earl and his wife Nancy of New Ulm; special family, Pastor Don and Amy Scheuerlein and family of Thiensville, Wisconsin.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Scott Earl on June 20, 1983; and by a brother, Marvin Earl.
Kenneth Charles Earl was born November 27, 1925, in New Ulm to George and Marie (Baar) Earl. He attended St. Paul's Lutheran Grade School and graduated from New Ulm High School in 1944.
He was united in marriage on June 19,1948, to Victoria Brey at the St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in New Ulm. After marriage he worked at the Mertz Bakery Company. After retiring, he worked for Mallak Form Supply in New Ulm. He was a member of the St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in New Ulm and the New Ulm Turnverein.
In lieu of flowers, the Earl family prefers memorials to the St. Paul's Parish Center or to the donor's choice.
