When Edmund Allgood was born in 1793 in Virginia, his father, Edward, was 52 and his mother, Elizabeth, was 23. He married Frances Talley on December 20, 1813, in Mecklenburg, Virginia. They had eight children in 33 years. He died in 1855 in Kentucky at the age of 62.
