Carl O. Bailey dies Monday, rites Wednesday

A native of Perry township, Clinton county, Carl O. Bailey, 63, of 2509 Churchman avenue, Indianapolis, died at 2 p.m. Monday at the Ashley nursing home after a two year illness.

Mr. Bailey was born in Perry township on Jan. 25, 1896, the son of Frank and Amanda (Eberhart) Bailey. He was a retired employee of the L. S. Ayres company, Indianapolis, and in 1956 toured the world, stopping in almost all the countries.

He is survived by a brother, Ernest Bailey, Frankfort; an aunt, Mrs. Lena Bryan, Anderson; one uncle, W. O. Eberhart, Portland, Oregon; and a nephew, Marvin Bailey, Frankfort.

Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Wednesday in the St. Mary's Catholic church, of which he was a member, with Father Leo A. Scheetz officiating. Burial will be in the Bunnell cemetery.

Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at Goodwin funeral home. The family suggests that friends may contribute to the Red Cross in lieu of flowers.
