P.J. was born August 6, 1980 in Decatur, the son of Peter N. and Susan G. (Foley) Broedel.
P.J. worked for A.O.K. transferring kidney patients to dialysis. He attended Decatur Public Schools and received his G.E.D. from Jobs Corps in 1998. His life was a struggle from start to finish, facing fears of diversity.
Through the tremendous support he received from an amazing family and the best friends a human could possibly hope to have, he had grown into a giving, loving person that touched many people
P.J. has joined Grandpa Bob and together they will watch over us and wait to see us again.
Surviving are his mother Susan G. (Foley) Cearlock and husband Greg of Decatur; fiancé Jennifer Wilson: sisters Bobbi (Broedel) Ettinger and husband Jason, and Sydnee Cearlock, all of Decatur: paternal grandfather William R Broedel of Mt. Carmel, IL.; maternal grandmother Carolyn (Foley) Munroe of Decatur; nieces Bianca Broedel of Decatur and Jaima Johnson of Independence, MO. and nephew Joey Johnson of Independence, MO.
P.J. was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Robert C Foley, and paternal grand mother Virginia R. Broedel.
The family wishes to extend their appreciation to Dr. Arnold. Dr. Rogers, Dr. Perdekamp, Dr. Jotoi, and to all the nurses who tried so hard to keep him with us.
