Rev. Floyd Alvy Alexander, 79, of Jasper, died Wednesday, Nov 11, at Walker County Medical Center, Services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Union Grove Baptist Church in Winston County with burial in the adjoining cemetery. Rev. Eldon Jacks will officiate with Kilgore Funeral Home directing. Parlor time will begin at 5:30 p.m. today. He will lie in state at his residence at 10 a.m. on Friday. He is survived by his wife, Velma Alexander; two sons, D.W. Alexander and Jessie Alexander both of Birmingham; three daughters, Louise Hurst of California, Dorothy Haynes and Betty Sanders both of Jasper; two sisters, Emer Lee Bishop of Haleyville and Veatrice Guthrie of Double Springs; 23 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
