"Aleena a vibrant, beautiful 4-year old little girl full of life, and so loved by us, her grandparents and many others. Aleena was a strong, active and very bright, loving little girl. Aleena suddenly became ill with symptoms beginning with puffy eyes, tiredness and overall feeling unwell. She was taken 3 times to hospital in 2 days. On her 3rd visit she was taken via ambulance and died in the emergency room at LHSC on March 9th, 2016.

Myocarditis is a condition where the muscular walls of the heart become inflamed. There are many causes of Myocarditis including infection, medications, chemical and radiation. In most children and infants, Myocarditis is triggered by an infection, usually viral, involving the heart. Symptoms of Myocarditis may be subtle, making the diagnosis difficult."
