Mrs. Carolyn Grace Currier of Corinth, KY. passed away Sunday, April 17 at home at the age of 78. Mrs. Currier was born July 30, 1937 in Flint, Michigan to the late Clayton Montney and Clesson Elton Montney. On August 31, 1957 Mrs. Currier was united in marriage to Leo E. Currier. Mrs. Currier was a homemaker and a member of the Bread of Life Lutheran Church in Georgetown, KY. Mrs. Currier was very active with her church as a member of the Alter Guild. She was widely known for her care and compassion for others through the Dorcas Society, serving as a Sunday school teacher, participating in various fund raising endeavors, especially those that were church related. She even packed care packages for our troops serving over seas. She is fondly remembered by those who knew her best as a wonderful wife and mother.
In addition to her parents Mrs.Currier was preceded in death by a son: Leo A. Currier in 1999 and by a grandson: Jacob Tyler Sargent in 2008.
Mrs. Currier leaves to mourn her passing her husband of 58 years, Leo E. Currier, a son: Brian L. Currier and his wife Lisa of Williamstown, KY., a daughter: Debra A. Sargent and her husband Nobel of Berry, KY., a sister: Kathleen Smith of Flint, Michigan and she was blessed with 8 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 2 great, great grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mrs. Carolyn Grace Currier will be conducted 12:00 noon Tuesday, April 19 in the chapel of the McDaniel Funeral Home, Corinth with Pastor Charles A. Groth officiating. Visitation will be there on Tuesday 10:00 am - 12:00 noon. Burial will be in the Pythian Grove Cemetery, Berry, KY.
Memorial contributions if desired may be directed to the Alzheimer's Association or to Hospice of the Bluegrass.
