Genevieve E. Flock. 91, of Beaverton, Michigan passed away at Pinecrest Farms in Midland, Michigan on Saturday, April 9, 2016.
She was born in Coleman, Michigan on May 1, 1924, the daughter of Lloyd & Clara (Ford) Nobbs.
On December 12, 1942, she married her true love, John “Jack” Flock in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. They were blessed with 45 wonderful years together before he predeceased her in 1987.
She was a homemaker living in Gladwin County for most of her life. She was a hard-working lady and worked cleaning homes for many people throughout the Beaverton area. Her memory will be cherished by her daughter: Rea Rae Rhodes of Fredricksburg, Texas; son Walter D. Flock of Sanford, Michigan; grandchildren: Shay Lynn Dodes; Troy Rhodes; Heather Langehennig; great-grandchildren: Katie, John, Taylor, Miranda, Braydon and Jameson as well as many, many nieces & nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband; John “Jack” Flock, son: Gary Flock; parents; 3 sisters: Gene Johnston, Vera Bessey and Clara Alice Carpenter and 4 brothers: Don Nobbs, Jim Nobbs, Robert Nobbs and Manley Nobbs.
Funeral Services will be conducted by Pastor Gary Easton and Pastor Lynn Chappell on Monday, April 18, 2016, 11:00 A.M., with visitation beginning at 10:00 A.M. at Beaverton United Methodist Church, Beaverton, Michigan. The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 17, 2016 from 3-8:00 P.M. at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home, Beaverton, Michigan.
She will be laid to rest at Tobacco Twp. (Dale) Cemetery, Beaverton, Michigan.
