Cecil B. "Barney" Goodwin was a member of the 105th Engineer Combat Battalion, 30th Infantry Division. He saw action in D-Day and in the Battle of the Bulge. He received the Purple Heart and the Bronze Star with 2 Oak Leaf Clusters for bravery while crossing the Roer River under heavy enemy fire. After returning home from the war, he was employed by the Gulf Oil Co.
