On Thursday, Aug. 14, 2014, little Margie broke our hearts as she said her last good night and love "YA." With these words, the loss was felt tremendously to her many family members and Marge had an extensive family, including Fluffy, her cat.----
She is survived by her children, Bobby and Judy and their families; by the Meadows family, oh how she loved the staff, volunteers and visitors that she warmly greeted and cared about for 22 years as a receptionist, and by the Sisters of Mercy at Brookfield Apartments, where she was warmly welcomed and found a home amongst friends.
There will never be another Marjorie, kind, forgiving, willing to give her last dollar to anyone who needed it, marvelous sense of humor and very intelligent yet humble. She enjoyed people and like a mom, cared about everyone, continually reminding others that she loved them, making them feel happy and welcome. Talking to Margie helped you forget your troubles. She was a dedicated employee at age 89, working 54 hours a pay period: always early, braving the weather and health issues never deterred Margie.
To have known Margie was both a privilege and a gift. Her passing has left a great emptiness at the Meadows. We grieve not seeing her behind that receptionist desk. We love "YA" Marge and will always keep you in our hearts.
