Clarissa L. Stallknecht, 55, of Central Square passed away suddenly on April 5th. Clarissa, affectionately known as Chris, was an amazing woman with a kind and loving heart that touched many beyond just her family. The youngest daughter of G. Bruce and Erma (Gibbs) Stallknecht, she served her country proudly within the US Air Force. After her retirement from the military, she obtained her B.S. in Business and went on to successfully manage Jackson Hewitt Tax Service in Mattydale. She was a loving mother who taught her children to work hard and love even harder. Her grandchildren were the light of her life and they adored their Nana. Loyal and dependable to all that knew and loved her, she was the first to help out a friend and thought of herself last. Chris wore many hats beyond being a mother, grandmother, sister, friend and tax preparer. She was involved with the Brewerton Fire Dept. and Ambulance, a commitment she took great pride in. Her love of genealogy led her to belonging to many organizations. Surviving her are children Joseph (Stacie) Mailloux and Jolene (Sam Provost) VanAntwerp; granddaughters, Jasmine, Mya, and Grace; grandson, Steven and father-in-law, Joseph Mailloux Sr. She also leaves behind her siblings, Margaret Stallknecht, Mary (Neil) Cheney, Sharon Bumann, Richard (Joann) Stallknecht and many cousins nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life will be held on April 24th from noon to 4 p.m. at the Brewerton Fire Dept. Clarissa believed in community and helping others. So in honor of her, her family wishes memorial donations to be made in her memory to the Brewerton Ambulance/ Fire Dept., P.O. Box 364, Brewerton, NY 13029 or to CNY Genealogy Society, P.O. Box 104, Colvin Station, Syracuse, New York 13205.
