Dale Anderson passed away Monday, March 14, 2016, at Spencer Hospital.

Dale, the son of Joe and Ruth (Johnson) Anderson was born on August 6, 1942, in Cherokee. He was the ninth child of nine children. He received his early education in Meriden and graduated from Larrabee High School. After graduation he entered into the military on June 9, 1960, serving in the U.S. Navy. He served on the USS Longbeach, the first nuclear powered ship, during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He was honorably discharged on August 2, 1963.

Dale married Carolyn Larsen on July 10, 1965, in Jackson, MN. The couple lived in Sioux City and then moved to Spencer in 1978. Dale worked at Burroughs Corp which later became Unisys, retiring after 30 years. He then worked for Bayliner Boats in Pipestone, MN, and United Suppliers until retiring again. He was preceded in death by his parents; one older brother who died in infancy, and brother, Robert.
