Phil was born to Doris Irene Watt and John David Singletary in 1948. He was one of 10 children. He served in the Navy at the age of seventeen and then went to Vietnam to serve three years. He married Donna Stettler on the 4th of July 1973 and had two boys and one girl. Phil worked as a semi truck mechanic, Wright tree service and then drove and owner of a semi truck up to the age of 55. He drove over 5 million miles in this time frame. He then retired from driving and went into teaching as a driving instructor. He signed up for S.S. and collected for one month and then passed away.
