Rupert R. Ridgeway Jr.

Resident of Norwalk Rupert R. Ridgeway, Jr. age 86, beloved husband of Marilyn Keiser Ridgeway, passed away at midnight on the morning of October 16, 2015, in Wilton, Connecticut.

Rupert, known by his friends as Rip, was born on August 15, 1929 in Covina, CA and was the son of the late Rupert R. Ridgeway, Sr. & Sammie Ora Easley of Anaheim, CA.

Rip was a Veteran of the Korean War, where he served as a Lieutenant in the US Navy. After the war, He had a career in Radio and Cable Media Marketing Research.

Rip was an avid stamp collector and an active member of the Norwalk Stamp Society.

Survivors, in addition to his beloved wife of 62 years, include three sons and their wives, Neil and Elizabeth Ridgeway of South Windsor, Brian and Ruth Ridgeway of Fairfield, Gary and Barbara Ridgeway of Bethel; a sister Linda Lee of CA and three grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his daughter Amy Ridgeway and his sister Barbara Louise Greiner; grandson [Christopher Bradley Ridgeway; and brother-in-law Roger Randall Lee]

Friends are invited to a memorial celebration of Rupert’s life on Wednesday October 21, 2015 from 5:00 to 9:00 PM in Norwalk’s Hoyt-Cognetta Funeral Home, 5 East Wall Street, Norwalk.
