"For I am now ready... I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith. Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day; and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing." II Timothy 4:6-8

"Beautiful daughter of God."

Daizsa Laye Bausby, 18, KCMO, passed away on March 21, 2016. She was born September 23, 1997, to Laetta Walker-Bausby, the second of four siblings. She was preceded in death by her maternal great grandmother, Ernestine Jacoway-Noble and uncles, Darrell Jacoway and Kevin Duncan.

Daizsa was a very loving child that enjoyed life and had an affectionate smile. She attended Derrick Thomas, St. Joseph School and Southwest High School. During her junior year, she started the Early College Academy Partnership between the Kansas City School District and Penn Valley Community College, and had satisfied the requirements for receiving an Honorary Associate of Arts degree. In May 2016, Daizsa was expected to graduate as Salutatorian from Southwest High School. Her involvement included cheerleading, Junior ROTC and track. She loved to sing, dance, rap, take selfies and stay up on the newest KOTD (Kick Of The Day).
