Macon, GA- Samuel Weaver McGarrah, 68, of Macon, formerly of Americus, passed away Sunday, March 27, 2016 at Navicent Health, Macon, Georgia.
The family will greet friends on Wednesday, March 30, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. A Graveside service will be held on Thursday, March 31, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in Oak Grove Cemetery in Americus, Georgia with Reverend Bill Dupree officiating.

Mr. McGarrah was born in Americus, Georgia to the late James A. and Frances Weaver McGarrah. He attended Americus Public Schools and later served in the National Guard. Mr. McGarrah was a member of the American Legion and Lakewild Wood Home Owners Association. He was formerly associated with Metalux Company, Mulcoa, and Reeves Construction Company of Americus and Macon.
He is survived by his sister Allene M. Barnes of Gray; nieces, Kathy B. Roberson (Ronnie) of Macon; Christie Pratt (Randy) of Brandon, MS; nephews, Frank Barnes (Brenda) of Clemmons, NC; Cecil Barnes (Cathy) of Gray; Michael McGarrah (Rhetta) of Lumberton, MS; several cousins.
Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
