ESTHER MAE STAMPER Portage, Indiana Age 87 passed away on Friday, November 3, 2006. Esther was born on August 19, 1919 in Saltlick, KY, the daughter of Oliver and Katherine (Utterback) Reynolds.
Esther was married to William G. Stamper on August 25, 1947 in Maysville, KY.
Esther was a member of the Bible Baptist Church. Esther was a wonderful wife and mother who enjoyed her family.
Esther is survived by her loving family: sons, Phillip (Faye) Smith of Morehead, KY, Jackie (Debbie) Smith of Dayton, OH, Larry (Deanna) Smith of Merrillville, IN, Bill (fiance' Pam Morgan) Stamper Jr. of Chesterton, IN; and daughters, Delores (Sam) Benedict of North Robinson, OH, Linda C.(Angelo) Angeles of Chesterton, IN, Jenny Kay Stamper of Naples, FL, Cindy L. (Marty) Edmaiston of Lake Station, IN; sisters, Letha Alice (Ray) Van Deusen of Muncie, IN and Peggy Penix of Portage, IN; 29 grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren; and 1 great grandchild and other loving family and dear friends.
Esther was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, William G. Stamper; step daughter, Virginia Sue Feisel; granddaughter, Sheila Feisel and granddaughter, Crystal Fishburn; and 6 brothers, Roy, Russell, Josh, Malcome, Paul and Anthony.
Visitation for Esther Stamper will be held from 2 to 5 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, November 5, 2006 at Rees Funeral Home - Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Ave., Portage. Funeral services for Esther Stamper will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, November 6, 2006 at Rees Funeral Home with Pastor Don Good officiating. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
