Nicolas "Nic" Grzegorczyk, 24, of Washington D.C. and former Midland resident, died Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2006.

He was an Eagle Scout and enjoyed swimming, lacrosse and traveling. Nic graduated in 2000 from Dow High School and attended Hope College. He did an internship in Washington D.C. during his senior year at the National Defense University. He worked at Acumen Solutions, Inc.

He is survived by his parents, Thomas and Janet (Watters) Grzegorczyk; one sister, Katie Grzegorczyk; grandparents, Mary and Erwin Grzegorczyk, Elaine Watters, and Jean Watters. His grandfather Donald Watters predeceased Nic.

Memorial services will take place at 4 p.m. today, at the Ware-Smith-Woolever Funeral Chapel, 1200 W. Wheeler St.
