Mr. Christopher "Chris" Adam Smith, age 27, of Rome, GA, passed away at his residence Tuesday March 8, 2016.

Chris was born in Rome, GA December 23, 1988.

He was the son of the late Mark Stephen Smith.

He was also preceded in death by his grandmother, Frances Davis.

Chris graduated from Armuchee High School where he participated in band for 7 years serving as drum major for 2 years. He was active in the youth group at Mt. Berry United Methodist Church. He later attended Jacksonville State University where he was a member of the Marching Southerners as a member of the 20-J section.

He also attended Georgia Northwestern College.

He was currently employed at Party City, Rome, GA.

Chris enjoyed the time spent with his family and close friends, and his English Bulldog, Jake, his "Buddy."

Survivors include his mother, Laura Ann Davis Smith Moore (Tom), of Rome; one Sister, Catherine Elizabeth Smith of Savannah, GA.; three brothers, Thomas Lamar Moore, II, of Rome, Christopher Allan Moore of Marietta, and Matthew Ryan Moore (Kimberly) of Sylacauga, AL.; two Uncles, Bruce Smith, and Eric Smith, two aunts, Ellen Anderson, and Mary Alice Garrard; grandparents, William F. Davis of Rome and Edward & Barbara Smith of Rome; three nieces, Sophia Moore, Lillianna Moore and Carridy Moore; and one nephew, Jackson Moore.

A number of cousins also survive.

Those serving were pallbearers are; Thomas Moore, Chris Moore, Matthew Moore, Bruce Smith, Robert Jordan, Keith Maxwell, and Eric Smith.

The family also requested the past and present 20-J members of the Southerners to serve as honorary pallbearers.

The family received friends Saturday morning March 12, 2016 from 11 am to 12:30 pm at Daniel's Funeral Home.

The funeral service for Chris was held Saturday, March 12, 2016 at 1:00 pm at the Second Avenue Baptist Church with Reverend Leon Bowers officiating.

Interment followed at Floyd Memory Gardens.
