C.P. Watson, an aged citizen of Oak Grove, Calhoun county, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. M.B. Davis, at 215 Herzberg street Sunday morning.
Mr. Watson was visiting his daughter during the holidays and his death was due solely to old age.
The deceased was born in 1819 near Greenville, S.C. He had been living in Alabama for many years and was a fine old man, a respected citizen and a devoted Christian.
J.C.C. Watson of Gadsden is a son of the deceased.
