Charla met her future husband, Michael Alan Young, in 1978 and became his wife in March of 1980. Their daughter, Lindsey Michelle Young, was born in April of 1988.
Charla continued her education at Midland Jr. College where she earned her Associates Degree in Applied Science. She became an x-ray technician and then a registered vascular and cardiac sonographer. Her career allowed her to enjoy working in several hospitals across the United States.
Charla and Michael enjoyed going to concerts. They would travel anywhere to listen to their favorite artist or band. Lindsey was introduced to music before she could walk because she was always included.
Charla was also a registered member of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma.
Charla was preceded in death by her father, Charles Brown; her grandparents, Glenn and Louise Mitchell, and Gordon and Juanita Brown; and her Uncle Charlie.
She is survived by her husband, Michael, and daughter, Lindsey, both of Lubbock; her mother, Peggy Brown, of Odessa. TX., a sister, Dana Pittman (Dwaine) of Aledo, and their children, Starla and Greg Sanders, their son, Stockton, McKaylee, Taryn, and Korbin Pittman; a brother, Coy Brown (Nicole), of Trophy Club, TX., and their children Haley, Taylor, and Tate; her in-laws, Warren and Mary Nell Young, of Odessa, two sisters-in-law and one brother in-law, along with many nephews and one niece.
