LONG ISLAND LEADER-PHILLIPS COUNTY LONG ISLAND, KANSAS -SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 24, 1900-DEATH NOTICE-PAGE 1-CARD OF THANKS SATURDAY, MARCH 3, 1900-PAGE 1.
It again become our painful duty to record the death of another old and respected citizen near Long Island. Grandma Willims, wife of Fred Williams, who lives just across in Nebraska a little east of north of this city, died last Sunday morning after eight days' illness from typhoid fever. She was thought to be getting along nicely until Saturday, when alarming symptoms appeared which proved fatal as above. Her funeral took place Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the M. E. Church in this city, in the presence of many sorrowing friends and neighbors, and the burial in Long Island Cemetery, Long Island, Kansas.
CARD OF THANKS-We desire to extend our most sincere and heart-felt thanks to our kind neighbors and friends who so kindly and patiently assisted as during the last illness and death of our beloved wife and mother. FREDERICK WILLIAMS AND FRIENDS.
