Dorothy Louise Hicks, 88
PORTLAND - Dorothy Louise Hicks, 88, formerly of Westbrook, passed away on Wednesday, March 2, 2016, at the Barron Center in Portland.

She was the daughter of Elmer and Cora (McCallister) Newcomb. Dorothy enjoyed crocheting and knitting, was an excellent golfer and bowler, and a very talented painter. She enjoyed traveling and wintered in Florida for many years.

She was predeceased by her husband Hugh Hicks Sr., sons Paul Gagne and Hugh Hicks Jr., and daughters Betty Lou Hicks and Diana Wilcox.

Dorothy is survived by daughters, Yvonne Norberg and husband Harold of Westbrook, and Brenda O'Brien and husband Dick of Buxton; son Bruce Hicks of Limington; as well as several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Barron Center and VNA Hospice for the excellent care they provided.
Relatives and friends are invited to a time of visitation from 9-10 a.m. on Saturday at Blais & Hay Funeral Home, 35 Church St., Westbrook, followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in Brooklawn Memorial Park, Portland.
