My grandmother Bettina Terrenzio Cavicchia grew up in Pescara, Italy along the eastern coast of Italy. When she was in her early 20's her father brought she and her sister to America for a chance at a better life. On the way to New York, her father met a man he liked who had a brother already in American who was looking for a wife. Once in New York a meeting was arranged for her and her father to meet Alessandro Cavicchia. Shortly after a wedding was planned. They moved to Schenectady NY where Bettina had family. They had two children, a son Eli who passed away at the age of three and later they had a daughter, Julia. Both Bettina and her husband became US Citizens. Once Alessandro retired from General Electric they moved to Merritt Island FL.
