Harriet Joan Albright, 85, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, formerly of Milford, beloved mother, grandmother and wife, was called home on January 21, 2016. Jo entered this world on May 30, 1930, in Sioux Rapids, born to Resor and Maude Cowan.

Jo grew up in Spencer and attended Reynolds Grade School. She was united in marriage to Merle Martin Albright on January 28, 1951. Together, they had three sons, Scott Martin, Brian Jay, and Rick Jo. In the early years, the family lived on F.A. Albright's farm in Hartley. They eventually moved to Worthington MN. During that time, Merle worked in sales and Jo worked in the home, before moving to Spencer, Iowa and then their farm in Milford, where the family raised quarter horses. In 1963, Jo started working at Ellerbrock's clothing store and became part owner. She operated the store until retiring at the age of 65. Jo is loved and treasured for her compassionate ways, straight forward attitude, exceptional house-keeping skills and for always being there for us all. She enjoyed playing cards, crafts, cooking, baking and being with her family.
