David was a veteran United States Marine Corps. He met his wife of nearly 47 years in Okinawa, where they raised three children, eventurally moving back to Indiana in 1987.
David will be lovingly missed by his wife, Mineko (Shimojo) Grunow; children, David Grunow, Jr., Vickie Ream(Michael), and Michael Grunow(Sarah), Madison. Samantha, Simon, Lillian and Lucas Grunow; siblings, Donald Grunow, Jr., Erica Atkins, Steve Grunow, Wendy Long, and Fredrick Grunow. He was preceded in death by his sister, Diane Clayton.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Saturday, February 27, 2016 at Flanner and Buchanan-Washington Park East. Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. Burial will be in Washington Park East Cemetery.
In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in David's memory to AmVets National Service Foundation and ALS Foundation for Life.
