Mrs. Doris Inez Dale Tallant age 81 of Gainesville passed away on Wednesday January 13, 2016 at her residence following an extended illness.
Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday January 16, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Tallant was born on January 09, 1935 in Gainesville, Georgia to the late Alvin R. Dale and Muriel McDonald Dale. She was a member of Chicopee Baptist Church and was retired from Pediatric Associates where she worked as an Office Manager. She owned and operated the Coffee Shop at Lawrence Pharmacy from 1998-2005. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, James Andrew (Jim) Tallant, and brother, Harold Dale.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Pam and Jackie Cronic of Chicopee, daughter and son-in-law, Patti and Tim House of Gainesville, grand-daughters and husbands, Traci and Blake Farr of Flowery Branch, Amanda and Jeff Mealey of Gainesville, grandson, Drew House of Gainesville, grand-daughter and Fiancé, Emily House and Will Brown of Braselton, grand-daughter and husband, Ali and Lee Davis of Gainesville, Great-grandchildren, Bo Farr, Hunter Mealey, Lane Mealey, Camryn Mealey, Sydney Brown, Baylee Brown, Tayler Davis, and Sadie Grace Davis, sisters and brother-in-laws, Bonnie and Elgin Turner of Gainesville, Linda and Jerreld Smith of Gainesville, Betty and George DeFranco of Rainbow City, Alabama, Gail and Lee Murray of Cumming, brothers and sisters-in-laws, Al and Cynthia Dale of Atlanta, and Bobby and Linda Dale of Powder Springs.
