Robert Zork was walking along 119 just south of Honey Ridge when he was hit by a female driving a silver pickup truck that was traveling southbound on the highway. Zork was pronounced dead at the scene by the Effingham County coroner.
The driver was tested to see if she was under the influence and charges may be filed against her.
The Georgia State Patrol is investigating the incident.
