Thank you and God Bless You to all who leave a flower for my mother.

My beautiful mother. Usually, the first thing people say about her is how beautiful she was.

Her married last names were (03):
01 Thomas (Harold). Children: My brother Gary Raymond Thomas 1951-2014, and me, Judy Sue Thomas.
02 Underwood (William "Gene"). Children: None together, he had a daughter and a son from his first marriage.
03 Gall (Donald). Children: None together.

Photo #02 standing from left: Don G., Gin, Estelle, John, Inez, Iva, Don, Howard.
Bottom row from left: Bill, Frank, Glenna, Jewell.
Who's Who in photo #02:
Gin, husband Don G. (Galena Park TX)
Gin's siblings with wife/husband/BF:
John & Inez Logan. (Albion OK)
Bill & Estelle Logan. (Albion OK)
Glenna & Frank Creasy. (Toledo OR)
Jewell & Howard Edens. (Rialto CA)
Iva Mae Tubbs (then Iva Mae Lawson) & (then) BF Don. (Oklahoma City OK)
Family members home for funeral of W.F. Logan, father of Gin & her 12 siblings (05 of them in the photo). Photo dated 28 September 1968.
Don G., as far as I know, still living.
Don't know if Iva Mae (then) BF Don still living.

This memorial for Virginia Dare "Gin" Logan Gall was originally created by MAX SHAFER, added 12 Feb 2012, and transferred to her daughter Judy Sue Thomas ID 49140342.

d/o W.F. Logan Sr (1886-1968) and Laura Susan Potts Logan (1897-1964).
She was #13 of their 13 children, #09 of their nine daughters and four sons.
My parents were married and divorced in the state of Oklahoma from:
20 October 1951-20 June 1956.
She and #02 William Eugene Underwood were married on 12 May 1965 in Rayville LA.
Do not know the marriage date with #03, Donald Eugene Gall, but he was her husband until her death on 13 February 1969.

Everyone including my brother and me called her Gin except her father W.F. Logan who called her Virginia.
When the Elizabeth Taylor movie "Butterfield 8" was released, I began calling her Gingerfield 8, she thought that was funny.
Her vices of which I know included Schlitz beer and smoking cigarettes.
She sometimes attended church. She, my brother and I converted to the Catholic religion in 1963, the only Catholics in her family.
She wore sunglasses so often, even indoors, that a classmate in elementary school asked me, "Is your mother blind?" I once saw a photo taken of her sitting in a pew at the church where her parents were regular worshippers. She was wearing sunglasses.
Her last employment was at glass factory Anchor Hocking. She was a housewife during marriages 01 and 02.
Her favorite Patsy Cline song was "Walking After Midnight".
Her favorite song probably was "Peace In The Valley", sung by Esther, a friend of her sister Florene, at her funeral in 1969. I didn't find out until years later that often during a phone call Esther would sing to her.
Her sister Jewell Logan Edens was no fan of the Catholic religion. Gin's funeral was sort of a half Catholic affair. After the service, Aunt Jewell gave me the hankie she had clutched during the service, and commented, "That was almost Christian."
