Mr. Robert Gwyn Anders, age 87, of 551 Elk Creek Ridge Road, Sparta, died Tuesday, January 24, 2006, at the Alleghany Memorial Hospital in Sparta. He was preceded in death by two sons, Bobby and Robert Anders. He is survived by his wife, Maude Crouse Anders of the home; a son and daughter-in-law, Dean and Deloris Anders of Sparta; two grandsons, Darrell Anders and wife, Marla of Sparta; David Anders and wife Debbie of Yadkinville; a brother, Charlie L. Anders of Sparta; three step-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 27th at the Grandview Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow in the Bethany Communtiy Cemetery. Military rites will be conducted by the Bruce Wayne Osborne VFW Post #7034.
