Matthew Carmen Collins, 32, died suddenly Friday, September 15, 2006. Born in Troy on March 11, 1974, he attended Greenville Elementary School in Greenville, N.Y., Liverpool High School in Syracuse and Grand Blanc High School in Michigan. He later attended Hudson Valley Community College and Mott Community College in Michigan. Matt was employed by Jillian's in downtown Albany for five years as a bartender and was presently employed by Saratoga Gaming & Racing as a beverage supervisor. Matt enjoyed golfing, spending time with his nieces Mia and Gianna and being with his family. He is the beloved son of Michael W. and Catherine A. Keenan Collins Sr. of Queensbury; dear brother of Michael W. Collins Jr. and his wife Michelle of Ballston Lake; adored uncle of Mia De Vito-Zetena and Gianna Collins; maternal grandson of William and Rita Keenan of Watervliet; paternal grandson of the late Wilfred Bud and Mary Collins of Watervliet; nephew of Janet and Frank Fronhofer of Salem, Mary and Chris Fazioli of Poestenskill, Patty and Bill Cranney of Schenectady, Nora and Tom Maycock of Albany, Kathy Collins of Rensselaer, Tom Collins, Ken Collins and Kelly and Mike Cross, all of Watervliet. Also survived by several cousins. The funeral will be Monday at 9:15 a.m. from the Parker Bros. Memorial, 2013 Broadway, Watervliet and at 10:00 a.m. at St. Patrick's Church, Watervliet where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands.
