Janice Carolyn Adkins
April 20, 1940 - March 17, 2003
Carolyn died March 17, 2003. She left her struggle on earth to be with her first love, Jesus. Born April 20, 1940, in Corning, AR., she was the daughter of William T. Watson and Brady G. Watson. On April 13, 1963, she married Charles A. Adkins, Chicago, IL. She graduated from Ouachita Baptist College, Arkadelphia, AR., in 1964 and received her Masters Degree in Special Education from Southwest Texas State University in 1984. She was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church, Austin, TX., and was a Stephen Minister and a Diaconate. She taught Special Education at the Pflugerville High School until she retired in 2000.
She is survived by her husband of 39 years; son; daughter; Rodney Watson, brother and several nieces, nephews and close friends.
The funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 20, 2003, in the Bethany Lutheran Church, 3701 Slaughter Lane, with Pastor William Knippa officiating.
The interment will be held at 1:30 p.m. in the Cook- Walden/Capital Parks Cemetery following the church service.
