Col. William F. Muhlenfeld, USA (Ret.), passed into the loving arms of our Lord Jesus Christ on January 26, 2016. He was born June 15, 1935, the son of Frederick William Muhlenfeld and Bessie Loretta Wortham, both of Baltimore, MD. He was preceded in death by his parents and by his beloved wife Sharon with whom he is now joyfully reunited. Col. Muhlenfeld, a Field Artillery officer, spent thirty years in the U.S. Army and is a veteran of the Vietnam War. He is a graduate of Western Maryland College, Rutgers University, the U.S. Army Command and Staff College, and the United States Army War College. He is survived by daughters, Julia K. Crawford and Katherine A. Taylor, both of San Antonio; by a son, William J. Muhlenfeld of Forest Hill, MD; his brother Edward Muhlenfeld and grandchildren, Christopher and Jessica Ayala, Lauren, Ryan and Michael Muhlenfeld & Abbey and Emma Taylor. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 3, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Porter Loring North.
