IN LOVING MEMORY OF R. W. GREGERSEN
Richard Wayne Gregersen, known to his family and friends as R. W., was born October 23, 1940 at Paris, Arkansas to Morris Arnold and Illawynne Woodward Gredersen. R. W. died Sunday evening, May 7, 2006 at his home in Oklahoma City following a brief illness. He was 65 years of age.
R. W. moved to Oklahoma City at an early age with his parents where he was raised and educated. He graduated from Northwest Classen High School in Oklahoma City. When he completed barber college, he entered the United States Army and he served his country until he received an honorable discharge. He was unted in marriage to Roenna Marie Shuck, August 1, 1972 in El Reno. They made their home in Oklahoma City where he worked for Borden Dairy as a truck driver and after several years there he went to work for Owens Sausage Company. Later he began working for NuWay Laundry and Dry Cleaning as a route deliveryman. Nearly four years ago, he began working for Wal-Mart as a produce stocker in their grocery department and was still employed there at the time of his illness. R. W. enjoyed working in his yard and gardening. He attend Christ Legacy Church in Oklahoma City.
He is survived by his wife, Roenna of the home Oklahoma City; one daughter, Dawn Kruse of Copperas Cove, Texas; two sons, Rick Gregersen and wife Kim of Oklahoma City and Erin Gregersen and wife Jayline of Oklahoma City; two grandchildren, Joshua and Sarah Kruse; his mother-in-law, Edra Shuck of Yukon and he is also survived by many other relatives and friends, including a niece and nephew they helped raise; Rana Shelton and Patrick Stacks. He was preceded in death by his parents, Morris Arnold and Illawynne Woodward Gredersen.
